Little Tea Pot tea party

Solid wood children's size table and chairs are hard to find it seems but when I have found some in the past there is always a line up. I actually had 2 sets last year before Christmas and just so happened to score another set this year. And I knew the perfect color for it, my new favorite of the year, little tea pot from Fusion Mineral Paint tones for tots line.

It had been stained royal and red then painted over with a light grey

but after a good sanding and scrub down it was ready to paint

bring on my favorite color, little tea pot and gave the base 2 coats as well as both chairs

and stained the top a dark all in one stain/poly 4 coats and walaaa

Homestead House milk paint renfrew blue

Time to try another Homestead House milk paint color. I had a solid wood coffee table with great details that needed a relove. At first I thought it would look great in red so tried barn red on the base

I added antiquing tough coat (bottom half of photo) to see if it would deepen any but it was not quite the deep dark red I was envisioning

so I whipped up some refrew blue, one of my favorite colors in the Fusion line and started painting, so how can this go wrong

but I may have spoke to soon, on the table edges it seems in typical milk paint mindset, it decided to go chippy.

I may have been ok with the look had I not had red under the base coat so bonding agent to the rescue. This additive makes milk paint stick to anything so on went another coat of refrew blue with it added

I wanted to give the table an antique look and feel and seeing it would be used allot it need to be durable so I chose Fusion's antiquing tough coat. I went with two coats of it then enhanced it even more wi…

creating sea glass

When I saw the tutorial on Fusion's Facebook page I knew I had to try this. I <3 <3 sea glass so much and I just happened to have a few jars I recently scored from the glass recycling.

yes this is what I brought home from our take it or leave it recycling table,

And I just happened to have Fusion Mineral Paint refrew blue and just a skiff of casement on hand, yeah! So with no further ado here is my take on how to make plain glass look like sea glass

and following the tutorial I created this

then added jute for a touch of rustic and bam!

my sea glass jars, perfect for votives, utensils, pencils, greenery, flowers, the list is endless!  Thank you Fusion Mineral Paint for awesome paint and tutorials!
