Vintage High Chair in Natural Wood and Warm White

I love giving old pieces new life. This vintage wooden high chair was my latest makeover project. I am loving the end look, how about you? This solid wood cutie was found by my furniture scouting sister. I messaged the seller sight unseen I would take it. My Mom picked it up and delivered to my door. THANKS family for all your help!

Dark Grey Jewelry Box with a fun surprise color

Jewelry boxes look so fabulous when they are reloved in color including classic neutrals. So many are found in thrift stores in beat up stained wood color or like this one in a smooth generic dark finish.

This "cherry" wood finish jewelry box has loads of storage and a classic design. I chose Fusion Mineral Paint in Ash which kept it classic in color but refreshed ready for many more years of service. Fusion is an all in one product which goes on smoothly and covers in just one coat over this dark original surface. I like to use small artist brushes to get in all the tight areas and a nice synthetic brush on the rest. I used my favorite cling on for the larger surfaces.

Lightly distressing the edges adds character. Even though the Fusion Mineral Paint is a stand alone finish you can add to it, I chose to add Fusion's black wax over the whole piece to deepen the color and add dimension.

and to add a pop of fun I painted Fusion Mineral Paint's Azure on the drawer sides.. attention is in the details they say ;)

The above wall art is done in Fusion's Ash as well but has white wax, check out the difference
